Lunio Terms of Service

Welcome to Lunio (the "App"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a legal agreement between you ("you" or "User") and the Lunio developer ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. The Service

Lunio is an AI-based emotional companion iOS app that provides text and voice conversations with virtual AI characters, a relationship-building system, and subscription features. All characters are fictional, and replies are generated by AI models.

2. Eligibility

• The App is intended for users aged 17 and above. Minors must use it only with parental consent and supervision.
• You agree to provide truthful, accurate, and complete registration information.
• Each Apple ID may register only one Lunio account.

3. Account & Security

• You are responsible for safeguarding your Apple ID and device credentials, and for all activity under your account.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
• We may take reasonable measures to protect account security, including temporary freezes or re-verification requests.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or public morals;
• Send, distribute, or solicit violent, terrorist, sexually explicit, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or rights-infringing content;
• Manipulate AI characters into producing such prohibited content;
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate others;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent paywalls or security mechanisms;
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access App APIs at scale;
• Rely on the App or its outputs for professional medical, legal, or other regulated advice;
• Otherwise harm us or any third party.

We may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules and may pursue legal remedies.

5. AI-Generated Content

• Replies are produced by third-party large language models (including but not limited to Anthropic Claude and OpenAI GPT).
• AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate. It is for reference only and is not professional advice.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on AI output.
• We employ keyword filtering, sentiment detection, and other safeguards to reduce inappropriate output, but cannot guarantee elimination. Please report problematic content via in-App feedback or GitHub issue.

6. Subscription

6.1 Terms

• Product: Lunio Plus monthly subscription.
• Billing cycle: 1 month, auto-renewing.
• Pricing: as displayed on the purchase screen at the time of purchase. Apple may adjust local pricing for currency or tax.
• Payment: charged to your Apple ID upon confirmation.
• Auto-renewal: unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription will renew automatically at the then-displayed price.
• Cancellation: you can manage or cancel anytime via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; fees already paid are non-refundable.
• Free trial (if applicable): if not canceled before expiry, the trial converts to a paid subscription. Canceling during the trial ends remaining trial time immediately.

6.2 Refunds

All purchases and subscriptions made via the Apple App Store are refunded by Apple under Apple's policy. To request a refund, contact Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

6.3 Pricing and feature changes

We reserve the right to adjust pricing, feature scope, and availability. Material changes will be communicated in-App prior to taking effect; if you disagree, cancel before they apply.

7. Intellectual Property

• The App and its components (code, UI, icons, character art, copy, trademarks) are owned by us or our licensors.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, rent, sell, or otherwise exploit any part of the App without prior written permission.
• You retain copyright in the messages you send to AI characters. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, worldwide license to process, store, and transmit such content solely for the purposes described in Sections 5–6 and our Privacy Policy.

8. Third-Party Services

The App integrates services from Apple, Supabase, Anthropic, OpenAI, and others. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability, content, or behavior of third-party services.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

• The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted operation, security, freedom from errors or viruses.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or emotional distress) arising from use of or inability to use the App.
• Our aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, if any.

10. Changes & Termination

• We may modify or discontinue features or the App in whole or in part for business, technical, or legal reasons, with reasonable notice.
• You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
• If you breach these Terms, we may terminate your access immediately without refund.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms as needed. Updates will be posted here, with material changes notified in-App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance; if you disagree, stop using and delete your account.

12. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China (Mainland), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall first be addressed by good-faith negotiation; failing that, either party may bring an action in the competent People's Court at the place of our registration.

Users outside Mainland China shall comply with locally applicable laws.
